Last updated: July 10, 2026
Effective date: July 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TinySols (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the mobile application Cracking Mobile Interview (the “App”).
We built the App to help developers prepare for mobile interviews with an offline-first experience. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the App.
1. Who We Are
App name: Cracking Mobile Interview
Operator: TinySols
Package / bundle identifiers: com.tinysols.interview (production), com.tinysols.interview.dev (development)
Contact: tinysol.apps@gmail.com
If you have questions about this Policy or your privacy rights, contact us at the email above.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to the iOS and Android versions of the App. It does not cover third-party websites, app stores, or services that we do not control, even if they are linked from the App or used to distribute the App.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information stored on your device (local data)
The App stores the following information locally on your device using on-device storage (including a local database). This data is used to personalize your study experience and is not uploaded to TinySols servers as part of the App’s current offline-first design:
- App settings (for example, theme mode, UI language, selected study platform)
- Bookmarks
- Theory reading progress and topic progress
- Recent views of questions or theory content
Uninstalling the App, clearing app storage, or resetting your device may permanently delete this local data.
3.2 Information we do not collect for accounts
The App does not require account registration. We do not ask you to provide:
- Name
- Email address (except if you choose to email us for support)
- Password
- Phone number
- Precise location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera content for core study features
3.3 Diagnostics and crash information
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the App fails or behaves unexpectedly. This may include:
- Device model and operating system version
- App version
- Crash stack traces and error logs
- Approximate time of the event
We use this information to find and fix bugs. We do not intentionally include your name, email, or study content answers in Crashlytics reports.
3.4 Remote configuration data
The App uses Firebase Remote Config to fetch non-personal configuration values, such as:
- Maintenance mode flags
- Minimum required app version
- Base URL placeholders for future server features
Remote Config requests may involve standard technical identifiers used by Google Firebase to deliver configuration to the App. We do not use Remote Config to collect your bookmarks, progress, or study answers.
3.5 Advertising-related information
The App may show ads through Google AdMob (for example, banner ads on certain content screens). Advertising partners may automatically collect or receive information such as:
- Device advertising identifiers (for example, Google Advertising ID or IDFA, subject to platform permissions and your settings)
- IP address
- Device and app information
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)
- Approximate location derived from IP address (if provided by the ad network)
Ad partners may use this information to serve, measure, and personalize ads according to their own policies and applicable law. You can often limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, Apple App Tracking Transparency / Personalized Ads controls, or Android ad personalization settings).
3.6 Push notifications (future / optional)
The App includes messaging infrastructure that may be used in future versions for features such as “Question of the day.” If push notifications are enabled, device push tokens and notification-related events may be processed by Firebase Cloud Messaging and the platform push services (APNs / FCM). We will only send notifications consistent with your device permission settings.
3.7 Information you provide directly
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and the content of your request) so we can respond.
3.8 Information we do not sell
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide and operate the App’s study features on your device
- Remember your preferences and progress locally
- Display educational content and optional advertisements
- Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and reliability issues
- Apply remote configuration (maintenance, force-update thresholds, feature flags)
- Respond to support requests
- Improve App stability and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
5. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (for example, the EEA/UK), we rely on:
- Performance of a contract / service delivery — to provide the App you requested
- Legitimate interests — to maintain security, diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve the App
- Consent — where required for advertising identifiers, tracking, or notifications
- Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law
6. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
6.1 Service providers / processors
We use trusted third-party providers to operate parts of the App:
| Provider | Purpose | |----------|---------| | Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging) | Crash reporting, configuration, optional push delivery | | Google AdMob | Advertising | | Apple / Google | App distribution through App Store and Google Play |
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6.2 Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TinySols, our users, or others.
6.3 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information related to the App may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and this Policy’s principles.
6.4 No sale of personal information
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. Advertising partners may process device identifiers for ad serving as described in Section 3.5.
7. Data Retention
- Local study data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
- Crash and diagnostic data is retained by Firebase according to Google’s retention settings and our operational needs (typically only as long as needed to investigate and improve stability).
- Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for legitimate business or legal records.
- Advertising data is retained by ad partners according to their policies.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the App, including limiting the categories of data we collect and keeping study progress on-device by default. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing access to your device.
9. International Transfers
Our service providers (including Google) may process information in data centers located outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers under their privacy frameworks.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for general audiences interested in professional software interview preparation and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact tinysol.apps@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
Because most study data stays on your device, you can exercise many controls directly:
- Change theme, language, and platform in Settings
- Remove bookmarks or clear local app data through your device settings
- Uninstall the App to delete local App storage
- Manage notification permissions in system settings
- Limit ad tracking / personalized ads in system settings
- Contact us at tinysol.apps@gmail.com for requests related to information we hold (for example, support emails or crash-related inquiries)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
12. Third-Party Privacy Policies
Please review the privacy practices of third parties we use:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Privacy and Security
- Google AdMob / Advertising
- Apple and Google app store privacy disclosures for the App listing
13. Future Features
Future versions of the App may add optional features such as cloud content sync, feedback submission, mock interview session history, or push notifications. If those features change how we collect or process personal information in a material way, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice as appropriate.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or the app store listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
